As with all things in life there have to be rules
(These may change from time to time)
-
No barbed hooks. Only barbless hooks on our water. (Instant Ban)
-
No Keepnets from 1st May thru 1st September, (except matches).
-
Fish over 4lb should be returned to the water at the very soonest.
-
Vehicles are only allowed to be parked in the parking area.
-
Syndicate year runs from January 1st thru December 31st.
-
Anual subscriptions should be renewed from the mid - end of November onwards.
-
Any subs not paid by end of 3rd week in December will be deemed membership given up and the space will be offered to someone waiting to join.
-
Security codes to our pool & facilities must not be given out to anyone.
-
Members can invite guests @ £6 per day (current 2016 rate), this must be notified and agreed with a bailiff before the day (no just turning up and then calling)!
-
Members are responsible for the actions & conduct of their guests.
-
Any matches arranged for outside clubs will only ever be on a Sunday and there will be as much notice given on the website/pool notice board of this as possible.
-
Matches are a variable amount of pegs but always starting from peg #1.
-
1 peg either side of the allotted match pegs are not to be used on match days.
-
Weighins and return of fish for external group matches are only to be undertaken by a syndicate bailiff.
The 4lb rule requiring returning these fish to water at the soonest applies here also. -
Syndicate members are welcomed to arrange any in-house competitions/matches to be held whenever for however long and whatever the rules are (as long as the barbless hooks are used of course)
-
Members are free as in all fishing clubs to challenge any person they do not recognise or believe they may not be a member.
However, (under no circumstances must you threaten/touch/abuse or antagonise the person(s) or challenge if you are wary/alone) Often a simple polite chat can establish your gut instinct. Common sense should always apply in your decisions and it is sometimes better to simply make a mental note of identity ie: age, hair colour, distinguishing features, vehicle reg, and report this asap to one of the bailiffs who will attend to matters. -
Your safety is always more important than a bit of poaching, be clever.
